Zaha Hadid's Rome Museum Opens

Zaha Hadid’s Museo Nazionale delle arti del XXI Secolo (Maxxi) in Rome could be a masterpiece—if it ever gets finished. Designed in 1999, the construction of the museum is still ongoing. Building of two of the three edifices has yet to begin, even though the space is scheduled to open in the spring. One problem with wrapping up the Maxxi project is that building new constructions means getting mired in Italian bureaucracy—which hasn't been helped by the global economic crisis—and also conspiracy.
