A woman has been convicted of assault for taking part in a group attack on gay men in Philadelphia. Kathryn Knott, who is the daughter of a police chief, was sentenced to five to 10 months in jail. The attack, which took place in 2014, left on man with a broken jaw. The judge asked Knott, who was then a hospital worker, how she could have walked away from the victims. Knott said that she was trying to intervene at the time of the attack, but the judge found she threw a punch.
