Who Misses Tim Pawlenty?!

With Rick Perry floundering and Herman Cain embroiled in a sex scandal, some pundits are feeling oddly nostalgic for Tim Pawlenty. The National Review’s Jonah Goldberg says Pawlenty, who dropped out of the race last August, should have stuck it out and run as the most electable candidate to the right of Romney: “Right now, electability is turning out to be a pretty high bar.” FiveThirtyEight’s Nate Silver disagrees, pointing out that this year only anti-establishment figures have benefitted from major poll surges—and that ain’t Pawlenty.
