Weather Cancels 1,650 Flights

Better find a comfortable spot in the terminal. On Monday, snow and icy conditions forced airlines to cancel 1,650 flights across the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic states. At least 14 people were killed in the weekend storm, many thanks to deadly accidents reported along the storm’s path, including a 50-car pile-up in Pennsylvania. Across the region, tens of thousands have been left without power in the bitter cold. Brace yourselves: Tuesday is expected to bring another 5 inches of snow in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
