Wal-Mart Pays $10M for Deadly Crash

The family of James McNair, the comedian friend of Tracy Morgan who was killed by a Wal-Mart truck that crashed into their luxury van last year, has received $10 million from the retail giant. The payout was an attempt to avoid more losses in litigation, according to the McNair family lawyer, though the corporation didn’t want the sum revealed for fears it would result in “financial damage.” The driver of the truck, Kevin Roper, was charged with death by automobile and additional assault charges.
