Vietnam Vet Denied Pain Meds Due to Pot

Gary Dixon, a 65-year-old Vietnam veteran, was denied pain medication in Topeka, Kansas, because he had marijuana in his system. He was reportedly exposed to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam. Dixon has stage four lung cancer and admits to smoking marijuana. New Veteran Affairs guidelines dictate that veterans are not able to use both marijuana and pain medication at the same time.
