USA Beats Australia in Women's World Cup

The U.S. women's soccer team bested Australia in a 3-1 victory in the opening game at the Women's World Cup in Winnepeg on Monday, becoming the first country to score 100 goals in the history of the tournament. Megan Rapinoe led the Americans to victory with two goals while Christen Press scored the other goal. Lisa De Vanna scored one for the No. 10-ranked Australia. The U.S., ranked No. 2 in the world, held onto their undefeated streak against Australia with a 23-0-2 record. The Americans will face off against Sweden on Friday in Winnipeg.
