U.S. to Host Haiti Conference

Better book George Clooney early: The United States will host an international conference to raise money to rebuild Haiti at the United Nations headquarters in early March. On Monday, representatives of 10 countries, including U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, met with Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive to map out the long-term rebuilding effort. The parties agreed that the rebuilding effort should help Haiti diversify its economy away from Port-au-Prince and do more to help people in the countryside.
