U.S. Airdrops Ammo Over Syria

Pentagon officials announced Monday that a U.S. Air Force C-17 cargo plane has airdropped 50 tons of small-arms ammunition over northern Syria in an effort to aid rebels fighting against the Islamic State. Reports indicate the supply drop is a step forward for the Obama administration’s effort to fight off ISIS forces without boots on the ground. All pallets were recovered by friendly forces.
