U.S. 2nd Largest Spanish-Speaking Nation

The United States just beat out Spain to become the second largest Spanish-speaking country in the world. According to the Instituto Cervantes, there are 41 million native Spanish speakers in the U.S. and 11.6 bilingual speakers. Only Mexico has more, and both Spain and Colombia fall behind. The U.S. Census Office estimates there will be 138 million Spanish speakers in the country by 2050.
