Unheard Jackie O Interview Surfaces

Forty-six years after Jackie Kennedy, then a new widow and former first lady, sat down to be interviewed by historian Arthur Schlesinger, the six-and-a-half hours of tape and transcripts will be released. In her breathy voice, she talked about her marriage, her time as first lady, and even the Cuban Missile Crisis. The interview, which will be published by Hyperion in September 2011, was kept under seal until now, even though she died in 1994. Her daughter, Caroline Kennedy, will be the book’s editor and write an introduction.
