Ukraine, Rebels Set Up Zone Around MH17

Ukraine and Russian-backed rebels agreed on Saturday to set up a security zone around the crash site of Malaysia Airlines jet MH17 to allow for the orderly removal of the 298 bodies still among the wreckage. In televised remarks, Ukranian Security Service head Valentyn Nalyvaychenko said a 7-square-mile security zone had been agreed upon “so that Ukraine could fulfill the most important thing—identify the bodies [and] hand them over to relatives.” The agreement comes after Ukraine accused local militias of removing at least 38 bodies from the site, though separatist officials scoffed at the charge. “No one stole any bodies,” a soldier who identified himself as Commander Ugiumny said. “Or have taken them anywhere.”
