George Galloway, Britain’s Respect Party Member of Parliament, was attacked Friday night while posing for pictures on a street in Notting Hill, London. A 39-year-old man “just attacked [Galloway], leapt on him and started punching him,” according to Galloway’s spokesman. “It appears to be connected with his comments about Israel because the guy was shouting about the Holocaust. George is badly bruised but OK. He has bruising to his head and face and is in pretty bad shape.” The 60-year-old MP was taken to a hospital with a suspected broken jaw, while his attacker is still in custody.
