Uber: Our Drivers Make Double Taxis

A new study released by Uber claims the company’s drivers in New York earn double the amount that taxi drivers and chauffeurs make, though with driving expenses it’s a little less. The report also found that more than a third of Uber’s drivers have college degrees and 10 percent have postgraduate degrees. The findings were released during the U.S. Conference of Mayors, where Uber strategist David Plouffe will seek to show leaders across the country that the car service is good for the market, though many cities have fought against its introduction in the past year.
