UAE Woman Killed for U.S. Teacher Death

A United Arab Emirates woman has been swiftly executed after being found guilty on terrorism charges two weeks ago in the murder of an American woman teaching abroad, according to its state news agency. Ala’a Badr Abdullah al-Hashemi’s December 2014 attack on Ibolya Ryan in a mall bathroom was said to have been inspired by militants. Surveillance video showed a figure, covered head to toe in a face veil and loose-fitting cloak, scurry toward the restroom, before quickly fleeing. Authorities said she attacked Ryan after a plot to bomb an Egyptian-American doctor's office failed.
