A U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane crashed outside Sacramento, California, on Tuesday, killing at least one of the pilots. According to a statement from Beale Air Force Base, a second pilot was injured but his condition is unknown. The crash happened shortly after it took off at 9 a.m. local time. Initially, the Air Force and Beale said two pilots had ejected from the plane. Investigators found a parachute near the scene of the crash near the Great Valley’s Sutter Buttes hill formation.
