Typhoon Prompts Evacuations in China

China evacuated parts of Shanghai and other coastal areas as Typhoon Muifa lashed eastern Shandong province with 110-mile-per-hour winds. More than 610,000 residents were relocated. The storm is weakening as it moves near key eastern ports in Shandong. It is expected to make landfall Monday morning. About 190 flights have been canceled since Saturday because of the storm.
