Two U.K. Conservative Vice Chairs Quit Over Brexit

Two vice chairs of the U.K.’s Conservative Party have quit in protest of Prime Minister Theresa May’s “compromise” Brexit plan, BBC reports. Maria Caulfield and Ben Bradley both previously warned that they will “lose their seats” if Brexit is not delivered. Caulfield reportedly backed the movement for the country to leave the E.U. during the referendum last year, while Bradley supported the movement to remain. This comes as Brexit Secretary David Davis and Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson both resigned in recent days over May’s desire to keep close ties with the E.U. despite officially leaving.
