Two Qaeda-Linked Suspects Arrested in NYC

Two men who traveled to Pakistan with Najibullah Zazi, the man arrested in September and accused of planning terrorist attacks on American soil, were detained on Friday morning in New York. The charges against Adis Medunjanin and Zarein Ahmedzay have not been formally announced, though sources say one will be charged with non-terror related holding charges and is awaiting terror-related charges while the other is charged with terror-related charges. Medunjanin’s attorney says the FBI seized his client’s passport on Thursday and that it was sought as part of an investigation into a conspiracy to use weaposn of mass destruction. Apparently, Medunjanin crashed his car while trying to bolt town no the Whitestone Expressway. He then tried to flee on foot, but FBI agents tackled him.
