The White House on Monday fully restored CNN White House reporter Jim Acosta’s press access, the network confirmed, after threatening to revoke it again following a court-ordered, temporary reinstatement. “Today the WhiteHouse fully restored @Acosta's press pass,” CNN’s press shop tweeted. “As a result, our lawsuit is no longer necessary. We look forward to continuing to cover the White House.” CNN last week sued the Trump White House after it revoked Acosta’s press access after a heated exchange with the president during a presser. Even after a district court judge sided with CNN, reinstating his press access for two weeks, the White House sent a letter to Acosta on Sunday threatening to revoke his access again after the temporary restraining order ended in 14 days. The administration now appears to have given up on the fight altogether.
