Trump Picks Carl Icahn for Regulatory Reform

President-elect Donald Trump has picked billionaire investor Carl Icahn as an advisor on regulatory overhaul. Icahn, who supported Trump during the election, will not serve in an official government capacity with "specific duties" but will serve as an advisor, the Trump administration said in a Wednesday announcement. Without an official government title, Icahn will likely retain his business holdings. He is expected to advise Trump in his campaign to reduce government regulation, and play a role in the selection of a new SEC head.
