President Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin met for an “informal” conversation at the G20 Summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina, the White House said Saturday. According to White House press secretary Sarah Sanders the two leaders spoke at a cultural dinner that was closed to reporters. “As is typical at multilateral events, President Trump and the first lady had a number of informal conversations with world leaders at the dinner last night, including President Putin,” Sanders said in a statement. The two leaders met for similarly private meeting at last year's G20 Summit. Sanders shared no details about what was discussed during the conversation. The backdoor conversation came at the end of a day in which Trump appeared to avoid Putin during all public events.
