Sarah Palin’s eldest son Track Palin accepted a plea deal in his domestic violence case. The 27-year-old Palin was arrested on the eve of his mother’s endorsement of Donald Trump after allegedly punching his girlfriend at his family’s home in Alaska. He was charged with fourth-degree assault, interfering with a report of a domestic-violence crime, and possession of a weapon while intoxicated. However, as part of his plea deal, the first two charges have been dropped, leaving Palin with the weapons charge—a class-A misdemeanor. As part of the deal, Palin will be required to complete an “alcohol-related” treatment program. Following her son’s initial arrest, Sarah Palin publicly suggested President Obama’s disrespect for the military was at fault for Track’s violence.
