Time Journo: ‘Can’t Wait’ For Assange Drone Strike

Michael Grunwald does realize that Twitter is public, right? The Time journalist tweeted Saturday night that he “can’t wait to write the defense of the drone strike that takes out” WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Although he quickly deleted the tweet, it was too late for Glenn Greenwald, the Guardian journalist Edward Snowden leaked documents to. Other promintent media people on Twitter picked up as well, causing Grunwald to agree with a follower that his original tweet “gives Assange supporters a nice safe persecution complex to hide in.” Time distanced themselves from Grunwald, saying that he wrote the comments on his own personal account and “is in no way representative of Time’s views.”
