Timberlake Wins Video of the Year

The night was all about Justin. Timberlake took home MTV’s top prize of Video of the Year for “Mirrors” at the Video Music Awards, in addition to basking in the glory of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award—and the much-anticipated ’N Sync reunion actually did happen. Timberlake performed a medley of his biggest hits, including “Take Back the Night,” “SexyBack,” “Cry Me a River,” and “Rock Your Body,” before his former bandmates came up from below the stage to remind us of the ’90s as they sang “Bye Bye Bye” and “Girlfriend.” Lady Gaga gave the world premiere of “Applause,” Kanye West managed to have most of “Yeezus” bleeped, and then there was Miley Cyrus. The singer performed a racy version of 2013’s song of the summer, “Blurred Lines,” with Robin Thicke—in a nude-colored bikini and waging her tongue for the world to see.
