Tiger Takes Full Blame for Accident

If Tiger Woods had it his way, this would be his last word on the matter. The pro golfer is slowly speaking about Friday morning’s car crash, but he's not saying much. On his Web site, Woods posted a statement accepting full responsibility for his run-in with a fire hydrant and fervently denied rumors circulating about the incident. Some media have reported that his wife assaulted him after discovering that he was having an affair. "This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me," Woods wrote. "My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble... Any other assertion is absolutely false." Woods acknowledged the public's curiosity surrounding the affair, but maintained that the debacle was a private matter.
