Three journalists involved in the publication of a now-retracted CNN story have resigned, CNN confirmed on Monday. Reporter Thomas Frank, who wrote the article, assistant managing editor Eric Lichtblau, and executive editor for investigations Lex Haris all left the outlet following the story’s retraction. The story, published last week, linked Trump transition team member Anthony Scaramucci to the Russia investigation, citing a single anonymous source. Politico’s Hadas Gold reported that Scaramucci threatened CNN with legal action over the story. After the story’s retraction, CNN implemented new guidelines on its Russia coverage.
