Feris Jones was just an off-duty police officer getting her hair done in Brooklyn when an armed perpetrator attempted to hold up the salon. What followed is one of the most amazing stories you’ll read today: The gunman ordered Feris and the salon employees into the bathroom. Feris then removed her weapon and confronted the gunman; he fired four shots at her from a short distance, all of which somehow missed her. She emptied her revolver. One shot hit the gunman’s hand, knocking his weapon out of it. He tried to flee, but discovered that another of Feris’ shots had hit the lock on the door, jamming it. He was still able to escape the building by kicking a panel on the bottom of the door. Police tracked him with bloodhounds and arrested him later.
