The King’s Speech Wins Audience Award at Toronto

Is The King’s Speech on its way to earning a Best Picture nomination at this year’s Oscars? The British drama, starring Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush, won the audience award at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend. The film, about King George VI’s effort to overcome his stutter, now seems to be on its way to Oscar gold—the previous two years, Toronto's audience awards went to Precious and Slumdog Millionaire.
