Thai Court Rejects Opposition Bid

In a major victory for Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, Thailand's Constitutional Court has refused to declare the February 2 general election as void. The high court, widely perceived as hostile to Shinawatra and the Pheu Thai party, rejected the request from the opposition Democrat Party. However, the panel did side with the opposition in throwing out Pheu Thai's sedition petition, saying the sprawling protests are only opposition activities.
