Taliban Attack Two NATO Bases

Proving that they are not lacking in boldness, about 30 Taliban insurgents, including suicide bombers, launched attacks on two coalition bases in Khost province. The attack was repelled, as NATO forces killed 18 and captured several other fighters, without loss of life on the coalition side. The Taliban fighters apparently did not get a chance to deploy a truck packed with explosives, which was recovered after the attack. One of the bases targeted was Camp Chapman, where a suicide bomber managed to kill seven CIA employees last December.
