A group aligned with the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad hacked into the Marine Corps recruiting website. The Syrian Electronic Army redirected the site to a message that called President Obama "a traitor who wants to put your lives in danger to rescue al-Qaida insurgents." The message urged the troops to refuse any orders to attack Syria and invited Americans to fight alongside the Assad's army. A spokesman for the Marines confirmed the site had been hacked but said no data was at risk. The group has also hacked Twitter, The New York Times, and other media sites they think are sympathetic to Syria's rebels.
