Syria Army Reportedly Breaks ISIS Siege of Deir al-Zour

Syrian government forces have broken through a siege of the city of Deir al-Zour, which has been surrounded for nearly three years by Islamic State terror group forces, state and independent media report. As many as 100,000 civilians have been trapped inside the eastern city since 2015, where air drops were the only way to receive aid. The city was the jihadi group’s last major stronghold in the country, where civil war has raged for more than five years.
