Suspended Breitbart Writer Gets Job Back

Breitbart has reinstated writer Patrick Howley four days after suspending him for publicly doubting his co-worker’s allegations that Donald Trump’s campaign manager manhandled her at a rally. “I am pleased to announce that I have gotten my job back at Breitbart starting today. Thank you for all of your support,” Howley wrote Monday morning on Twitter, adding the unironic hashtag “#WAR.” The firebrand conservative writer wrote Thursday that he didn’t believe Michelle Fields’s account of being “grabbed” by Trump staffer Corey Lewandowski, demanding video as proof of any incident. The website suspended Howley as part of its meager attempt to defend Fields—but after she and Editor at Large Ben Shapiro resigned Monday as a result of the site’s response, Howley got his gig back.
