The suspect in Wednesday’s fatal shooting of a Tacoma, Washington, police officer has been killed following an hours-long standoff. Two children were rescued unharmed from a house into which the suspect—who has not been identified—had barricaded himself early Thursday morning. Dozens of police had been holding positions around the building. The officer who was killed has not yet been publicly identified. He was reportedly shot multiple times during a domestic-violence call Wednesday afternoon, a police spokesperson said.
