'Suitcase Killer' Claims Self Defense

The man suspected of killing a woman, stuffing her body in a suitcase, and leaving her on a Harlem street, claims it was self defense. Hassan Malik says he paid the woman, Betty Williams, for sex and that they fought after she tried to rob him. He says she hit him with a frying pan, which he took from her and used to crack her head; then he says she tried to choke him with a telephone cord, before he strangled her to death. Malik has a long rap sheet including charges of assault, robbery, harassment, and drugs.
