Suicide Attacks Kill 17 in Iraq

At least 17 people were killed in what appear to have been revenge attacks after an assault on a Sunni mosque. The first suicide attack, in which a vehicle was rammed into an intelligence headquarters, killed at least eight people in Baghdad. Meanwhile, near Tikrit, a military Humvee packed with explosives attacked soldiers and Shiite militias, killing nine people. The attacks are believed to be retaliation for the gunning down of 68 worshippers at a village mosque by Shiite militiament in Diyala Province on Friday.
