Spain’s Finest Restaurant Pops Up in Texas
We've entered an era with restaurants where anything is possible. Recently, two of America's top restaurants, New York's Eleven Madison Park and Chicago's Alinea, traded kitchens for a week, opening up shop in each other's respective space for a week of dinners, blowing peoples minds. Now, one of the world's best restaurants is coming to the US for a series of pop ups and they’re it won’t be in NYC, LA or Chicago. They are coming to Texas. Spain's El Cellar de Can Roca will be opening up shop for two nights, August 8th and 9th, in Dallas, and also for another two nights in Houston. Joan, Josep, and Jordi Roca, the three brothers and founders, along with their 30 person staff, won't be flying ingredients in from overseas. Instead, they'll be cooking an elaborate, multi-course meal with local Dallas ingredients. There's a cool angle here too, where one lucky local student at Le Cordon Bleu Dallas is going to win an apprenticeship with the Roca crew out at their restaurant in Spain, a life changing experience for sure. Good luck getting in, this may prove to be the toughest seat in Dallas restaurant history.
