SpaceX Launches A Deep Space Satellite

Elon Musk's space transport company SpaceX met success with the third attempt in launching its first ever deep space mission on Wednesday. SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket blasted off after two recent aborted launches, sending the weather satellite Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) to a position nearly a million miles from Earth in order to watch for incoming solar storms. Falcon 9 is the first vehicle sent into deep space by a private company.
