Some Florida Schools on Lockdown

All public and charter schools in Florida’s Broward County are on lockdown after a woman called a radio station and said her husband was going to "start shooting" at a school in Pembroke Pines. Police ordered the lockdown of the country’s sixth-largest public school district as a precaution. Students were brought in from all outdoor activities, and all entrances to schools were closed and locked. In addition to the shooting threat, Pembroke Pines police said they received an email saying that “something big was going to happen” around government buildings in Broward County. School board officials haven’t decided when to let students leave school.
