Members of the Somali terrorist group Al Shabab attempted and failed to take the country's presidential palace on Tuesday. The attackers planted a bomb in the back of the compound and then stormed another entrance, getting into the heavily guarded palace and engaging in a gunfight with security guards. A spokesman for the group announced, "We are in control of the headquarters of the apostate regime."
