The home of Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali burned down in a fire that spread through a crowded slum in the Indian city of Mumbai. The blaze occurred in the Garib Nagar slum late Friday, and most of the awards Ali won, as well as the newspaper clippings and photographs celebrating her role as younger Latika in the 2008 Oscar winning film went up in flames, according to the 12-year-old actress. “It’s all gone. Even my best clothes, everything,” Ali told Reuters. Police are still investigating the cause of the fire, which injured 21 and left 2,000 people homeless. The child star also said that her family has yet to move into a new apartment paid for by a trust set up by Slumdog’s director, Danny Boyle.
