A Mexican couple nabbed by police while transporting body parts in a baby carriage has reportedly admitted to killing 20 people. The pair was initially arrested in Ecatepec on suspicion of killing 10 women, though investigators are now trying to determine whether the real death toll is double that number. Alejandro Gomez, a prosecutor in Mexico State, said the man, identified only as “Juan Carlos N,” admitted to raping some of the female victims and selling their body parts, according to Agence France-Presse. “He described it in a completely natural way... I would say he actually seemed happy to have done this,” Gomez said. The man also reportedly told police that he and his wife had lured their victims with promises of discounted baby clothing. “They were single mothers... and they needed someone who could help them find inexpensive baby clothes,” Gomez was quoted as saying.
