Alexander Hernandez, 34, has been charged for a five-day shooting rampage in the Los Angeles area that left four people dead and several wounded. “Nothing makes a homicide investigator’s heart beat faster than realizing he has a serial killer. And that is what this man was,” Sheriff’s Chief of Detectives Bill McSweeney said. Hernandez has also been charged with animal cruelty for allegedly shooting three dogs on Saturday, two of which died. Authorities say they believe Hernandez acted alone, and was just randomly shooting people on the streets and freeways.
