Serena, Venus Williams Lose French Open

Both Serena and Venus Williams lost in the second round of the French Open on Wednesday. Serena, who is ranked as the world’s No. 1 player, took only four games in a 6-2, 6-2 defeat at the hands of 20-year-old Spaniard Garbine Muguruza. Early in the day, No. 29 Venus also lost, making it unlikely that the 32-year-old will ever win at the French Open. In summing up her stunning loss, Serena admitted, “I don’t think anything worked for me today.”
