Seoul: North Korea Fired Unidentified Projectiles to Sea

South Korea said on Friday night that North Korea fired a series of unidentified projectiles into the sea, appearing to be another weapons test for the country. Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said on Saturday that the projectiles were fired from North Korea’s eastern coast and flew some 155 miles. This comes just weeks after North Korea had an intense standoff with the United States, including a threat to fire missiles toward Guam. U.S. Pacific Command subsequently said that it detected three short-range ballistic missile launches, two of which failed in flight with the third blowing up almost immediately.
