Senate Passes $30B Small-Business Bill

The Senate has passed legislation to create a $30 billion fund that will lend to struggling small businesses in addition to cutting their taxes and boosting loans. The measure, which passed 61-38, drew just two Republican votes, from Senators George Voinovich of Ohio and George Lemieux of Florida. The bill now needs to be approved by the House before going to President Obama’s desk for his signature.
