Senate May Bring Gun Bill Back

More shootings, more gun control debate. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says that lawmakers could resurrect a bipartisan background check bill that fizzled out in the spring. "I wouldn't be surprised if we have another vote on it," Reid said after speaking out about the number of shootings recently. "The man in Las Vegas—clearly from what I’ve been able to read—was a felon. He couldn’t have bought a gun if he had background checks.” The legislation's co-sponsor, Sen. Joe Manchin says that the bill needs five more votes to break a filibuster.
