Sean Hannity Loses William F. Buckley Award After Controversy

Fox News anchor Sean Hannity will no longer receive the conservative Media Research Center’s William F. Buckley Award for Media Excellence at its fall gala, CNN reported. During his lifetime, Buckley founded the National Review and was hailed as “arguably the most important public intellectual in the United States.” His son Christopher Buckley reportedly “expressed great dismay” when he heard the award would go to Hannity, who has insulted conservative intellectuals on Twitter and spread conspiracy theories on his show. The MRC decided not to award the Fox News anchor after the younger Buckley called to express his disappointment.
