Scott Pelley to Replace Couric at CBS?

Back to old, white men on the evening news: TMZ says 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley will take over as the lead anchor of CBS News after Katie Couric steps aside later this year. The gossip site says Pelley is the top choice of new CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager. (Neither the network nor Couric has confirmed her departure.) Earlier, The Daily Beast’s Howard Kurtz reported that Pelley was the top contender for Couric’s job.
